Abstract:

In order to stimulate rational development and utilization for plant resources of Symplocos, and promote studies and landscape use of Symplocos in China. Based on the brief analysis of originated resources of Symplocos in China, the review of Symplocos research were summarized. The author also discussed the planting design of Symplocos species in landscapes. Symplocos resources and application had not been paid much attention in China. The potential of Symplocos used as urban landscaping plants should be developed, thus could benefit the diversity of landscape and garden plants.
