Abstract: Influence of Formaldehyde and Malachite Green on MHC and IL-1β content in Eyed Eggs of Taimen (Hucho taimen Pallas.) was studied in this paper. Eyed eggs of Hucho taimen was randomly divided into 2 groups (n=3000), with each group subdivided into 3 replicates. Formaldehyde and malachite green were used to disinfect the eyed eggs by immersion method at the concentration of 500 mg/kg and 2 mg/kg respectively. Disinfection was performed continuously for 30 min once per day and the samples were taken at half an hour before and after disinfection. MHC and IL-1β content of samples were then determined. The results indicated that both formaldehyde and malachite green caused a certain influence on MHC and IL-1β contents in eyed eggs of Hucho taimen. Disinfection with formaldehyde steadily improved the content of MHC in eggs while had no obvious effects on IL-1β content. However, disinfection with malachite green led a disordered and violent change to MHC content in eggs and could increase rapidly the IL-1β content, which showed that disinfectants maybe have produced inflammation on eggs. The influence of formaldehyde on eggs was obviously lower than that of malachite green and there was no obvious bad effect, which indicated that formaldehyde could be applied to disinfection of eyed eggs in Hucho taimen.
