Abstract: As one of the most widespread auxin, Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) had a very important role in regulating plant growth and development. Multiple approaches to control the levels of IAA in plants were elucidated in this article from two aspects: the IAA biosynthetic and IAA conjugate hydrolysis. Research advances about IAA biosynthesis pathway in which tryptophan-dependent, tryptophan-independent and coexistence of both were included and IAA conjugate hydrolysis were introduced. Finally, the opinion was pointed out that the key point of further research was to control the hub linking multi-way converse.
