Effect of Different Substrate Formula on Yield of Agaricus bisporus

Abstract: In order to take full advantage of straw resources, based on the traditional formula of wheat straw and fowl manure in tunnel fermentation, separately add spent mushroom compost and corn straw, then study the moisture content, pH, the nitrogen content and C/N during the composting between different formulas, finally count the yield and agronomy traits of Agaricus bisporus. The results showed that the moisture content was the highest in formula which was added corn straw, the nitrogen content was maximum in traditional formula, and there was only a small difference of pH between three treatments from beginning composting to phaseⅡ. The yield was 18.31 kg/m2 for traditional formula, 11.43 kg/m2 for formula added spent mushroom compost and 14.48 kg/m2 for formula added corn straw. The proportion of flushⅠwas significantly improved for formula added corn straw. Moreover yield was related to C/N of compost in phaseⅡ.
