Abstract: This paper summarized the application of different molecular markers closely linked with important agronomic traits such as disease-resistance (powdery mildew, downy mildew, fusarium wilt, anthracnose, scab and virus disease), fruit quality (fruit tumor, bitterness, fruit color, fruit shiny and fruit shape), reproductive development (sex differentiation and parthenocarpy), and vegetative development (leaf color, plant height and lateral branch), which was aimed to provide a theoretical basis for the future cucumber breeding. Finally, discussed the relative weak causes of cucumber molecular markers in cucumber breeding at present, and made a prospect for future cucumber breeding.
