Abstract: In order to grasp the meteoric water evolution in Nong Bashi Reclamation Region in Xinjiang, and provide a reference for efficient agricultural water use, the author used the annual precipitation data from 1960 to 2012, took diagnostic analysis means of climate to study the inter-annual changes in precipitation trends and characteristics. The results showed that: annual precipitation was trending to increase obviously in Nong Bashi Reclamation Region. In different years, the average annual variation of precipitation and tendency rates were not same. In recent 53 years, the precipitation increment from 1972 to 2007 was the most significant, the climate tendency rate was 19.285 mm/10 a, as of 1960- 2012, the annual climate tendency rate was 13.412 mm/10 a, the increased rainfall was about 71.1 mm. In 1987, annual precipitation mutation increased, during the mutations, the average precipitation increased by about 42.2 mm. A 5 years to 7 years period existed in precipitation change process. The research results provided theoretical support and reference for learning about characteristics of precipitation resource for local agricultural production and agricultural engineering construction.
