Abstract: To find out the best process of solvent detoxification treatment for Eupatorium adenophorum Spreng and to investigate the correlation between Allium schoenoprasum L. yields and the contents of 9-oxo-10 and 11-dehydroagerophorone in Eupatorium adenophorum Spreng. Methods: to employ the orthogonal design and the HPLC method combined with compost fermentation and compartment analysis. Results: By comparing toxic ingredient changes before and after solvent detoxification, the optimum process of the treatment was observed by soaking Eupatorium adenophorum for 48 hours in a condition of solution ratio of 1 to 10 (pH=8) at a temperature of 50℃. Meanwhile the correlation between Allium schoenoprasum L. yields and the contents of 9- oxo-10 and 11-dehydroagerophorone was analyzed. The result showed that the toxic ingredients in the organic fertilizer made out of detoxificated and rotten Eupatorium adenophorum was very low and it had no discernible effect on shallot yields. Conclusion: it has an obvious effect of solvent detoxification treatment for Eupatorium adenophorum Spreng, which will get a promising application in the production of organic fertilizer by fermentation of detoxificated Eupatorium adenophorum Spreng.
