Abstract: For studying the effect of the various blood line on milk performance and early body weight, eightyfive dairy cows were divided into three groups according to the various blood line of Holstein Friesian and milk performance of first lactation and body weight (birth, 2, 4, 6 and 9 mo) were measured, respectively. The results showed that the milk performance and body weight were improved with the increasing of upgrading. The correlation coefficients between milk performance of first lactation and body weight among three groups were highly significant (P<0.01) at 6 mo and significant (P<0.05) or highly significant (P<0.01) at birth and 9 mo. The milk performance and body weight gap between pure Holstein and descendants by grading hybridization were reduced gradually with the increasing of upgrading. There was significant positive correlation between milk performance and body weight (birth and 6 mo) in different blood line of Holstein Friesian.
