Abstract: An nutrient deficiencies fertilization experiment was conducted with seven treatments (control treatment, N, P, K, Ca, Mg and S deficient treatments). Growth indices (height growth, ground diameter, leaf area, leaf perimeter and leaf length/width ratio) were measured to study the effects of different nutrient deficiency on the growth of Camellia gauchowensis seedlings. It was indicated that: (1) height growth and ground diameter of all deficient treatments except Mg deficient treatment were lower than that of the control, deficiency inhibited the growth of height and ground diameter, the main factors were K, Ca and Mg. (2) The elements which had greater impact on leaf growth of Camellia gauchowensis seedlings were Ca and Mg, but there was no significant difference among the indicators. Indicators of N, P, Mg, S deficient treatments were not significantly different from the control(P>0.05). Nutrient deficiencies had no significant effect on height growth, ground diameter, leaf area, leaf perimeter and leaf length/width ratio of Camellia gauchowensis seedlings.
