Abstract: Through swine production cost comparison among Denmark, Brazil, Canada and China, the authors try to indicate the differences on total cost volatility, composition of raising cost, in order to find the advantages and disadvantage of Chinese pig raising industry. The authors further analyze the differences of feed cost, labor cost and BFM (building finance miscellaneous), and conclude that the Chinese percentage of feed cost is the highest among the nations, and the poor quality of human resources as well as the lack of building and equipment investment are the problems that Chinese swine industry facing.
