Abstract: Sampling analysis of solid pig feces from 35 large-scale pig farms in Beijing Area was carried out for the purpose of investigating the tetracyclines and heavy metals residues. The results showed that the detection rates of tetracycline, oxytetracycline and chlortetracycline in pig feces were 90.9% , 45.5% and 18.2%, respectively. The concentration range of 4 tetracyclines in pig feces was 0.48 to 29.2 mg/kg. 27% of the samples were estimated to be risky while being applied to the cropland as organic fertilizer. The average amount of total As, Cd, Cr and Pb in pig feces were 2.9, 0.3, 11.6 and 0.3 mg/kg, respectively, which complied with the national standard of organic fertilizer in China. But the high concentration of Cu or Zn and their possible environmental risks should not be neglected.
