Abstract: In the growth process, the plants would be unavoidably regulated by environmental signals and encounter kinds of stresses. Many stress responded proteins were discovered and studied in plants' response to environmental stresses. Germin-like proteins (GLPs) are important proteins which take part in every kind of stress. This group of proteins has similar sequence to wheat germin and is soluble glycoproteins located in extracellular matrix, which exists in all of the beings. The proteins have a variety of biological functions, for instance, they have important roles in the plant growth phase and response to the biotic and abiotic stresses. In this study, we introduced the main features of plant GLP proteins from plant GLPs classification and structure. At the same time, we reviewed the research progress at home and abroad on the GLPs and the genes that resistant to biotic stress and abiotic stress, and provided a reference for the future research.
