Abstract: The paper aims to research the salt resistance of dark septate endophyte (DSE) fungus. Mycology and biochemistry methods were adopted to research the salt tolerance of two dark septate endophyte fungus D377 and D575. The results showed that: under the stresses of NaCl and Na2SO4, the growth and nutritional metabolism were significantly correlated to salt concentrations. Under low salt concentration stress (CNaCl≤0.2 mol/L and CNa2SO4 ≤0.2 mol/L), the inhibitions on strain growth and utilization rates of carbon and phosphorus were lower, and had no significant different compared to control. Under the high salt concentration stress (CNaCl≥0.3 mol/L and CNa2SO4 ≥0.3 mol/L), the inhibitions on strain growth and utilization rates of carbon and phosphorus were higher. DSE strain D575 had a better salt tolerance than D377.
