Abstract: In order to invest the effect of different crop growth regulators on the lodging-resistance and grain yield of winter wheat in different intensity, a field experiment was conducted in Mengcheng agricultural sci-tech demonstration farm of Anhui province, different crop growth regulators, Zhuangfeng’an, Xixiao-zuo, Guoguang-aifeng, Aijiu-shou and traditional adjustment measure compacting were applied to winter wheat ‘Yannong 19’, the final yield, stem morphological characteristics, snapping-resistance and lodging-resistant index were studied. Data showed that in the higher intensity (270×104/hm2), the stem height was higher, and the grain yield, stem outer diameter and dry weight per unit internode length were lower than in the lower intensity (225×104/hm2). All the growth regulators except Aijiu-shou, and compacting treatments reduced the basal internodes length, enhanced the stem diameter and dry weight per unit internode length, and the ratio of gravity center height to plant height was reduced, and the lodging resistance was enhanced, especially in the higher intensity. The plant height reduced under Zhuangfeng’an and Aijiu-shou treatments, however, changed insignificantly under other treatments compared to control. The final grain yield was enhanced in Xixiao-zuo and Aijiu-shou treatments by modifying the 1000-kernal-weight, while that in Guoguang-aifeng and compacting treatments changed little. Zhuangfeng’an reduced the final grain yield of low intensity wheat by reduced the 1000-kernal-weight and kernel number per spike, this may caused by the reduction of plant height and final biomass.
