Abstract: The purpose of this paper was to make clear the biological characteristics of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz. of Chinese wolfberry in Gansu Province. Biological characteristics of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz. were studied by mycelia growth method and spore germination method. In this study, mycelia growth, spore production and spore germination were detected in relation to temperature, illumination, pH, relative humidity and nutritional conditions. The results showed that the optimum temperature for mycelia growth was 25℃; 10% wolfberry juice of PDA in the 8 culture medias was the best; the optimum pH value was pH 6; the optimum carbon source was glucose and mannose; the optimum nitrogen source was Gly. 25℃, pH 6, light condition, sucrose and NaNO3 were the best condition for spore production. Conidia germination rate was the highest at 30℃, pH 5 and 100% relative humidity condition. The mycelium and conidium could not survive at 50℃ for 10 min and 55℃ for 10 min respectively. The results of this study provide the basis for control of anthracnose of Chinese wolfberry.
