Abstract: To determine the best combination of mixed turf under the climatic condition in Kunming, three combinations were set up to evaluate the appearance quality by NTEP. Combination 1 consisted of 70% tall fescue, 20% bluegrass and 10% perennial ryegrass; combination 2 consisted of 50% tall fescue, 40% bluegrass and 10% perennial ryegrass; and combination 3 consisted of 30% tall fescue, 60% bluegrass and 10% perennial. The results showed that score of combination 3 (6.97) was the highest. Integrated analysis indicated that using bluegrass as constructive species, tall fescue as accompanying species and perennial ryegrass as pioneer species was suitable to construct turf in Kunming.
