Abstract:

To have a more comprehensive and systematic understanding of the research progress of orchid fresh-keeping at home and abroad, in this study, two databases of WOS and CNKI were used, and the CiteSpace document visual analysis and bibliometric analysis were adopted to analyze the literature published by domestic and foreign scientific research institutes from 1989 to 2021. The results showed the numbers of published papers in the field of orchid fresh-keeping were in a slow uptrend around the world. The countries contributed the most in the orchid fresh-keeping area were China, Thailand and the United States. And orchid species of Dendrobium, Phalaenopsis and Oncidium attracted the most attention of scholars, and Chinese scholars focused on Phalaenopsis and Oncidium more, while Thai research teams focused on Dendrobium the most. The research interests were mainly on the physiology of flower senescence, among which endogenous hormone ethylene was the core of orchid senescence research, and how to inhibit ethylene production was the hotspot in physiological experiments on orchid fresh-keeping. According to the comprehensive analysis of the statistical data, the molecular mechanism of the orchid senescence and the application of molecular technologies to prolonging the orchid ornamental time will become the key research areas of orchid fresh-keeping.
