Abstract:

Camellia oleifera is a specific woody oil plant in China and one of the world’s four largest woody oil plants, and it is widely distributed in hilly areas in southern China. Scholars have carried out a lot of researches on the effects of stress factors on C. oleifera. In this study, the research status of stress factors of C. oleifera in recent years was summarized. It is found that stress factors have certain effects on the morphological structure, and physiological and biochemical characteristics of C. oleifera, but C. oleifera could also produce a coordinated response to stress factors to alleviate the adverse effects, and there are some differences of resistance among different varieties. On the basis of this study, it is suggested that the research on C. oleifera stress factors should be conducted from the following aspects: the differences at development stages of C. oleifera, the resistance differences among the varieties from different regions, multi-factor synergetic coupling mechanism and simulation of the variation trend of different factors, and the regulatory gene mechanism of C. oleifera response to stress factors.
