Research Progress on Mechanism of Fraxinus velutina Responding to Salt Tolerance

Abstract:

In this paper, the effects of salt-alkali stress on seed germination, morphology and growth, photosynthetic rate, chlorophyll content and cell membrane permeability of Fraxinus velutina were reviewed. Its salt stress-responding morphological and physiological mechanisms including phenotypic adaptability, synthesis of osmotic adjustment substances, ion transport and regionalization, and production of protective enzymes were concluded. The research progress of molecular response mechanism of salt tolerance of F. velutina was summarized, including differential gene expression, key gene analysis and epigenetic regulation mechanism. To provide a basis for better selection and cultivation of saline alkali tolerant tree species, the elaboration on response mechanism of F. velutina under salt alkali stress, drought stress and other stresses should be strengthened.
