Abstract: In order to explore the effects of salt-alkali mixed stress on seed germination and the salt and alkali adaptability of leek, the authors measured seed germination percentage, germination index, hypocotyls length and germination recovery percentage of total 25 kinds of salt-alkali conditions using liquor mixed by NaCl, NaSO4, NaHCO3 and Na2CO3. The results showed that the seed germination percentage and germination index were significantly lower than that of CK with the increase of salt-alkali stress, but the falling range of the seed germination rate under different salt contents and the same pH value was bigger than that under different pH values and the same salt content; the germination recovery percentage of high salinity and high pH treatment was 24.7% of CK, which delayed the germination of seeds and inhibit the germination of some low vigor seeds; the germination recovery percentage increased with the increase of salt content. Salt content, pH and the interaction between the two could inhibit the germination of seeds and the salt content was the leading factor.
