Study on Growth Characteristics and High-yield Agronomic Measures ofHigh Protein Content Soybean Variety ‘Pudou 5’

Abstract: A new spring variety ‘Pudou 5’ was pedigree bred through the sexual hybridization between ‘Quandou 7’ (female parent) and ‘Tedali 1’ (male parent). This variety possessed the characters of rich protein content, high and stable yield, wide adaptability and good resistance. It has passed the variety certification by Fujian Crop Varieties Committee in June, 2014. In order to speed up its popularization and application in soybean production areas in Fujian, the relations of seed yield with different plant densities, urea and potassium chloride for ‘Pudou5’ were studied by using the three factors quadratic general rotary unitized design. Through optimizing and parsing the yield mathematical model of ‘Pudou 5’, the results showed that the optimal agricultural cultivation measures to get the yield more than 2550 kg/hm2 were as follows: the plant density of 275000-290500 plants/hm2, the application of urea 57.89-68.78 kg/hm2 and the application of potassium chloride 106.59-117.84 kg/hm2 in red-yellow arid soil areas in Fujian.
