Abstract: This study aimed to investigate the effective control methods on vegetable safety and quality of vegetable suppliers. A qualitative study with in-depth interviews with 8 vegetable suppliers was conducted. The results indicated that half of the suppliers in this study used FSMS (Food Safety Management System) including HACCP and GMP to control vegetable safety and quality. However, there were still a few companies who needed to improve their control methods by establishing HACCP system and enforcing standards. Carrying out effective traceability system and taking management control from farmland to dining table is very important to improve safety and quality of fresh vegetables.
