Abstract: In order to understand the fertility of blueberry planting soil, soil physical and chemical properties of 60 soil samples from Jiawo agricultural company’s blueberry production base in Qingdao were analyzed by the method of indoor assay determination. The results showed that the soil pH value of only 20% samples was in the optimal growing range of blueberry. At the same time, the maximum content of soil organic matter was only 13.649 g/kg, the soil samples with organic matter content more than 10 g/kg only accounted for about 20%. In addition, the soil nutrient contents were significantly different among different planting bases and the variation coefficients were high, especially the variation coefficients of available phosphorus, available potassium and available boron, which all reached above 50%, suggesting that nutrient contents of different bases were unbalanced with large fluctuation range. In conclusion, the soil pH in main blueberry producing areas should be adjusted, and it was also important to explore the way to improve soil organic matter content and soil fertility.
