Abstract: Agricultural talents with practical skills are an important part of agricultural and rural talent team. They are talents supporting the transformation of agricultural development model and developing modern agriculture. Training of agricultural talents with practical skills in China has achieved certain results. Quantity and quality of agricultural talents has been increasing. To speed up the training process of agricultural talents with practical skills, promote employment transfer, increase farmers’income and provide talents support for the development of agricultural industry, the training modes of agricultural talents in China were briefly introduced and the existing problems were analyzed. Then, the main practices and features of the training modes in the developed countries were analyzed and the experiences worth learning were provided. In the end, policy suggestions such as strengthening leadership, increasing investment, enhancing the top-level design and completing the basic technical support system were put forward to promote China’s training ability on agricultural talents with practical skills.
