Design and Implementation of Arc Engine-based Agrometeorological Service System for tea production

Abstract: For adapting to tea production development needs and promoting ability of weather service for agriculture, agrometeorological service system for tea production of Zhejiang was developed by C/S software architecture and Arc Engine-based platform, combining with tea meteorology theory, C# language, SQL Server database and network technique. Thus, the system was applied in Zhejiang province. It included 10 functional models, namely data management, micro-climate monitoring, disaster monitoring and early-warning, agriculture weather forecast, climate quality evaluation, climate suitability analysis, tea garden visualization monitoring, agricultural climate regionalization, production making and basic knowledge. Owing to the refine tea weather index, prediction or assessment model and GIS technique, it could predict daily in the next 1-8 days with spatial resolution of town unit or 5km×5km grid. What’s more, the system could operate dynamically in real-time by linking to the Zhejiang meteorological database. The refine and quantitative tea meteorological service was realized by its application not only in Zhejiang province, but also across main producing areas of cities and counties.
