Effect of Environmental Estrogens Methomyl on Reproductive System

Abstract

Abstract: Methomyl is a kind of pesticides which is widely used as carbamate insecticide, meanwhile it belongs to estrogenic endocrine disruptors that is environmental estrogens. Environmental estrogens have serious threat to the ecological environment and human health, the authors briefly reviewed the effect of methoyl on biological reproductive organization structure, reproductive function, the activity of reproductive enzyme and apoptosis of germ cells and so on, and proposed the direction for further research, which had great significance to further understanding the harm of methoyl reproductive toxicity, taking measures to hazard prevention and protecting the ecosystem actively.
