Abstract: To study mineral elements content in Chinese jujube roots during the growth cycle to improve jujube cultivation management technology and provide a scientific basis for fertilization, the change way of the content of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium and magnesium in the root of‘Dabailingzao’,‘Daguazao’, ‘Lizao’,‘Pingguozao’,‘Jin’ai No.3’was studied. The results showed that the root system activity of all jujube varieties began in the early growth period, but was not energetic, the nutrients were mainly from tree storage, and the content of most mineral elements reduced at different levels. The change of mineral elements of root became complex in the medium growth period, the plant absorbed lots of mineral elements from soil for the growth of new organs. Most of the mineral elements increased at different levels with a trend towards stable in the later growth period on account of the nutrient storage for winter dormancy.
