Abstract: To provide climatic information for agricultural sustainable development, and reasonable utilization of agricultural and climate resources in Shihezi, Xinajing, the authors statistically analyzed 0-50 cm monthly average soil moisture, annual average soil moisture and its correlation with other meteorological factors in Xinjiang national agriculture test station from 1996 to 2015. The results showed that: 0-50 cm monthly average soil moisture overall showed a trend of wet; 0-10 cm monthly average soil moisture in March and April were the largest, the smallest humidity was found in June, July and August, with the increase of soil depth, soil moisture had little difference between each month; the change of 0-10 cm annual average soil moisture had a decadal cycle of 13 years and an annual cycle of 5 years, the change of 40-50 cm annual average soil moisture had a decadal cycle of 10 years and an annual cycle of 5 years; the characteristic of 0-10 cm and 10-20 cm annual average soil moisture had mutations; 0-50 cm annual average soil moisture was most sensitive to the meteorological factors of annual precipitation, annual evaporation and annual 0 cm ground temperature.
