Abstract: In order to provide reference for sustainable development of land use and ecological environment in Nilka county in Xinjiang, the coordinated development level from 2009 to 2014 was analyzed from the establishment of land use system and ecological environment system, and the weight was determined by principal component method, and the coordinated development evaluation model was adopted. The results showed that: (1) the land use and ecological environment in Nilka was in a barely coordination level from 2009 to 2011, and a primary coordination level from 2012 to 2014; (2) the coordinated development situation of land use and ecological environment was gradually toward a good direction in Nilka from 2011 to 2014, the coordination level between each subsystem was improved, the land use comprehensive benefit was increased, ecological environment quality was promoted, the level of economic development was enhanced. The results indicated that land use, economic, social and ecological environment began to enter a healthy and orderly development stage in Nilka county. In future development, on the one hand, Nilka needs to promote the sustainable use of land resources, and conducts intensive and conservative land use validly and reasonably, on the other hand, it should highlight the coordinated development of land use and ecological environment in this region.
