Abstract: To improve the yield of strawberry, variety‘Fengxiang’was taken as the material to study its growth in 7 different substrates under the same nutrient solution to look for the best one for strawberry cultivation. SPSS data processing software was adopted to analyze strawberry indicators’variances during the vegetative growing period, and multiple comparisons were conducted according to significant differences. The results showed that: (1) mushroom residue perlite vermiculite (C3) had the highest yield (781.56 g/plant), followed by mushroom residue vermiculite (C2) (745.61 g/plant), there was no significant difference between them, the average fruit weight of (C3) was 19.21 g, which was significantly superior to the control treatment (turf vermiculite); (2) mushroom residue vermiculite perlite (C3) had the best flavor; the sugar acid ratio was 13.69, followed by mushroom residue vermiculite (C2), which was better than the control treatment (turf vermiculite). Therefore, C3 was superior to other ubstrates; it could make use of industrial waste and have longterm application value in production.
