Farmers’ Willingness to Conduct Organic Agriculture Planting: Analysis Based on Data of Organic Rice Farmers of Yang County in Shaanxi Province

Abstract: Organic agriculture is the concrete practice of the ecological civilization construction in agriculture, and promotes agricultural modernization and structural reform on the part of supply. Taking organic rice in crested ibis nature reserve as an example, this paper empirically analyzes farmers’ willingness to plant organic agriculture. The results show that: although ecological awareness is high, but nearly a quarter of the actual planting of rice farmers reluctant to plant organic rice, it means that farmers’ willingness to plant organic rice is not so high. Household per capita net income, non-agricultural income share, per capita paddy field, education level, and ecological awareness has a positive influence on willingness to plant organic rice respectively. At the end, some suggestions including of focusing on vital interests, Promoting labor transfer, improving related policies, increasing human capital investment and farmers'' ecological awareness are promoted based on conclusions.
