Abstract: A cultivating indoor experiment was conducted to study the effect of high-sulfur coal gangue on chemical indices (pH, EC, ESP and exchangeable Na+ ) of soda-saline soil, four kinds of fineness and four kinds of applying rates were used. The results showed that 70 mesh high-sulfur coal gangue had the best effect, the pH value decreased by 6.66%, 11.20%, 14.67% and 16.70% under 16, 32, 48 and 64 g/kg treatments, ESP decreased by 59.96% , 68.24% , 69.81% and 73.76% , exchangeable Na + content decreased by 19.05% , 21.09%, 17.69% and 19.05%. Applying high-sulfur coal gangue can lead to a large number of foreign ions input which increases soil EC compared with CK. Adjusting saline ions structure can reduce the toxic effect of exchangeable Na+, and has an improvement effect on soda-saline soil.
