Abstract: Effects of potassium humate on the quality of flue-cured tobacco and soil environment in western Henan were studied by field experiments, tobacco of different growth periods, chemical quality after fluecuring and soil physical and chemical properties were analyzed. The results showed that the soil pH value reduced to a certain degree; the content of soil organic matter increased by 7.56%-26.95%; the content of available K in soil increased by 0%-12.88%, the rhizosphere environment was improved. Under a certain amount of potassium humate application, the conventional chemical components of flue-cured tobacco leaves were improved, and the contents of reducing sugar, potassium, total sugar were higher than that of CK. Under the certain application amount of potassium humate, the contents of neutral aroma components increased significantly. Potassium humate increased the first-class tobacco ratio, yield, output value, average price and single leaf weight, and the optimum amount of potassium humate was 375 kg/hm2.
