Grape Apolygus lucorum in China: Occurrence Trend and Prevention and Control Strategies

Abstract

Abstract: This study reviewed the occurrence trend in time and space of Apolygus lucorum in Chinese vineyards and explored the related causes, and analyzed the research progress on the prevention and control of A. lucorum from the aspects of chemical control, agricultural control, biological control and physical control. Based on the above study, it is proposed that A. lucorum is an emerging pest brought about by social development and agricultural industry transformation; when conducting research on grape A. lucorum, especially the research on prevention and control, the main focus should be on agricultural control, and especially on selection of grape cultivars against A. lucorum; and then integrated ecological control techniques should be established through research on new pesticides and application techniques, as well as the screening of repellents and traps, so as to effectively control the grape A. lucorum.
