Abstract:

The purpose of the study is to analyze the current situation of forest health development in Maoershan National Nature Reserve and clarify its advantages, thus to put forward relevant development strategies on promoting the sustainable and healthy development of forest health. Combined with regional resource advantages, the establishment of diversified forest health models which have local characteristics was explored through literature retrieval method and field research method. The results show that there is a unique potential for forest health in this study area, including superior location and geographical condition, pleasant climate-environmental condition, abundant forest resource storage, unique national cultural resource, and huge potential forest health market. According to its resource characteristics, six typical models of forest health are established, including low mountain-bamboo forest health model, high mountain-forest health model, forest-oxygen bar health model, forest-flower health model, forest-river health model and forest-wetland health model. Forest health products comprise specialty food, ethnic medicine products, sports products, cultural products, health science popularization education and so on. It is suggested that biodiversity and ethnic cultural characteristics should be the key development elements of forest health in Maoershan National Nature Reserve in the future.
