Abstract:

Agriculture is the foundation industry of the country and the base for ensuring people’s living standard. It is a key link of the vigorous development of rural industries and the alleviation of rural poverty. Agricultural listed companies are the pillars of high-quality agricultural development, and should have a ‘leading wild goose’ effect in the transformation and upgrading of rural industries from production-orientation to quality-orientation. Based on factor analysis method, this study evaluates the performance of agricultural listed companies, including listed companies in agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery. The study is of significance to improving the management of agricultural listed companies, providing reference for institutional investors to understand the development status of these companies, and maximizing the role of agricultural listed companies in leading other agricultural business entities and small rural households. The results show that the systematic project of agricultural listed companies leading the high-quality development of agriculture requires the participation of the government, enterprises, farmers and relevant entities, and comprehensive efforts should be pulled together from the aspects of technology, talents, resources and policies, for precise policy implementation.
