Abstract:

In order to improve the extraction rate of total saponins from leaves of Solanum torvum Swartz., the study optimized the extraction process. Taking the extraction rate of total saponins as the evaluation index, we studied the effects of ethanol concentration, solid-liquid ratio, extraction time and extraction temperature on the extraction rate by single factor experiment. On the basis of single factor experiment, response surface methodology was carried out to optimize the ultrasonic extraction process of total saponins from leaves of Solanum torvum Swartz.. The results showed that the optimum technological condition was ethanol concentration of 80.30%, solid-liquid ratio of 1:15.06 (g/mL), extraction time of 95.56 min and extraction temperature of 62.29℃. Under this condition, the theoretical extraction rate of total saponins from leaves of Solanum torvum Swartz. was 38.82%, and the response surface model had good fitting, good prediction and reliable operation. The ultrasonic extraction process of total saponins from leaves of Solanum torvum Swartz. optimized by response surface methodology is stable and feasible.
