Abstract:

In order to broaden the way of high value utilization of camphor processing residues, seedling containers were optimally prepared by hot press molding process, using camphor processing residues as reinforcing material and urea-formaldehyde (UF) prepolymer and starch adhesive (SA) as binder. The effects of seedling container formability, breakage resistance and molding ratio on the performance of seedling containers were studied. When the ratio of UF and SA was 3:7, the molding ability of seedling container was greater than 95%, and the anti-breakage rate was 1.71%±0.06%. When the ratio of WA to ST was 5:5, the molding ability of seedling container was more than 90%, and the anti-breakage rate was 1.69%±0.04%. Under the conditions of 22 MPa pressure, 120℃ temperature, no exhaust and holding pressure for 5.5 min, the tensile strength and expansion rate of seedling container are the best.
