Abstract: The combining effects of watering and additional Nitrogen on yield and quality of high-gluten wheat were studied in control conditions of pool cultivation. The results showed that wheat yield and quality could be increased significantly when both N and water were applied at late growing stage of wheat at the yield level of 300 Kg/mu, compared with watering only. The best result come from the combining use of water and N at elongation stage. Increasing fertilizer amount of N at late growing stage could improve grain quality greatly. It is difficult for high-gluten wheat to reach to the national quality standard when planting in poor soil.
