Abstract: The grafted muskmelon with black seed pumpkin、pumpkin、gourd as rootstock can significantiy reduce diease severity of Meion fusarium wilt of grafted muskmelon. The grafted muskmelon showed higher photosynthetic capacity and root vigor than the self-seed plants at mid-later growth stage. The increase ratio of bound water to free water and decreased water potential in the leaves were recorded in the grafted muskmelons at mid-later growth stage. The enhanced activity of phenylalanie ammonia-lyase and peroxidase and peroxidase were detected from the root or both roots and leaves of grafted muskmelon respectively.
