Four species of fine perennial grasses and legumes including perennial ryegrass(Lolium perenne L.), Common comfrey (Symphytum peregrinum Ledeb.) white clove(Trifolium repens L.) and alfalfa(Medicago sative L.) can increase food appetite, enhance forage conversion efficiency and promote the growth of rabbit when applied to rabbit forage. Of all fine perennial grasses, perennial ryegrass have best effects on feeding experiments, followed by white clove and alfalfa. Mixed feed has overwhelming advantage over single feed.
