Abstract: It is very essential to select the landfill site in order to minimize its impact on environment. Based on the geological and economical conditions of Wuhan city, the model of assessing landfills location is established for Wuhan city with analytic hierarchy process. Whether the site accord to Wuhan city plan, the distance from the site and to urban, the conveyance condition, founding landfills condition, geologic environment condition and environment protecting condition are the criteria for the model. The model can serve for the selection of lanfills in Wuhan city.
