Abstract: A partial sequence of Ganoderma lucidum metallothionmerin（MT）gene was identified by RT-PCR and 3’RACE method. The full-length cNDA of G lucidum MT was of 315bp by including a 5’ untranslated region( UTR) of 47 bp,a 3’UTR of 166bp and an open reading frame (ORF) of 102 bp encoding a polypeptide of 33 amino ancids. The predicated protein from G lucidum MT gene sequence contained 7 cysteine residues organized in concerve motifs as classically described for MTs. The contens of cysteine is 21.2%, glycine and alanine were 12.1%. The result sequence analsis indicated that GlMT from Ganoderma lucidum was the member of metallothionmerin family.
