Abstract:

In the agricultural cooperation theory put forward by Marx and Engels, there are not only
agricultural workers cooperation theories for the developed countries in economic, but also farmer cooperation
theories for undeveloped countries. For various reasons, the first socialist country, the Soviet Union, freed from
the idea, but according to Marx and Engels thought of agricultural workers cooperation theories, established a
highly centralized model of collective farms. After its founding, the New China followed the Soviet model, and
gradually established a kind of“large in size and collective in nature”people’s commune which is similar to
the Soviet collective farms. After reform and opening up, China has changed course, reformed, and
implemented the household contract responsibility system. On this basis, China developed farmer cooperative
economic organizations. It regressed and developed greatly the farmer cooperation theory, and found a new
rural cooperative road with Chinese characteristics.
