Abstract:

（Objective）This experiment was conducted to study the effect of cation ion salt on production performance of dairy cows and ionic balance.(Method) Forty-eight Holstein cows with no significant differences in lactation period, milk yield and parity, were randomly divided into 4 groups, each were fed with cation ion salt 0 g / d, 20 g / d, 30 g / d and 40 g / d respectively.The feeding trial lasted for 55 days . (Result) The results showed that: the milk yield、fat、protein、lactose of test groups were all improved, the content of K+、Na+、Ca2+、Mg2+ in milk were also increased,but there were no significant effect on percentage of Cl-and SO42+（P>0.05）; there were no significant effect on the percentage of K+、Mg2+ 、Na+、Cl- in serum（P>0.05）,but there were significant raising on the percentage of SO42+（P<0.05）. (Conclusion) These results indicated that adding the cation ion salt into the dietary of lactation dairy cows can increase the milk production,maintain ionic balance, it will help to ensure the health of dairy cows.
