Abstract:

In order to understand the situation of large tobacco companies patent applications, technology distribution and research and development trend at home and abroad, 10 tobacco companies patent applications during 2006-2010 were quantitatively analyzed with comparative analysis method and literature metrology. Results showed that: (1)Tobacco industry enterprises became the main force of technological innovation and foreign tobacco competitors were powerful; (2)China tobacco company inventions shared a lower proportion of patent applications, patent structure needed to be optimized; (3)The most applications of both home and abroad tobacco companies were tobacco materials, but the foreign tobacco additives almost added in the filter rods, cigarette paper and other materials, and the domestic tobacco additives added to tobacco, filter rods.
