Abstract:

Preparation of the Artemisia argyi by Soxhlet extraction and set the alcohol extracts of five different concentrations, observation of the Artemisia argyi extracts were bio-assayed against Ectropis obliqua larva. Results indicated that the extracts had many functional patterns against the larvae of Ectropis obliqua as anti-feeding, contacting toxicity, stomach poisoning and inhibiting growth activities. The higher concentration, the more obviously the effect on the pest was. In the test of contacting toxicity and stomach poisoning, the corrected mortality of 3rd instar larvae of Ectropis obliqua reached 66.14% and 78.16% treated by contacting and poisoning at 72 h, respectively. For the anti-feeding, the results of the antifeedant effect showed that concentration of 100 mg/mL had good effect for the larva, the antifeedant effect were 56.77% and 46.01% after 12 h and 24 h, respectively. The extracts also had significant inhibition to growth and development of larvae the inhibition rate at 24 h and 48 h after treatment were 54.83% and 68.32% at concentration of 100 mg/mL. The date showed that Artemisia argyi extracts had good tea geometrid cytotoxicity, has developed into the potential of botanic insecticide, accord with current of non-polluted tea production needs.
