Abstract:

This study gave a new classification of oil plants. Based on the classification the study reviewed the production of oil crops, processing，trade and consumption of oil and oilseeds. Then analyzed the problems existed in the vegetable oil industry. The result showed that the oilseed production was stagnant, but the oil consumption increased sharply due to the fast increasing economy. Both of the reasons led to the fast increasing importing of oilseed and vegetable oil. At the same time our vegetable oil processing industry was controlled by the foreign capital. The risk of the vegetable oil industry has been increasing. At last the study put forward the countermeasures.
