Abstract:

【OBJECTIVE】To improve the supervision quality of import container through the application of Total Quality Management Theory (TQM).【METHOD】Taking an analysis on the feasibility of application of TQM on quarantine and supervision of import container.【RESULTS】The characteristics of TQM are satisfied with supervising import container under the TQM management. More than this, using TQM on import container supervision has many superiorities such as reducing management cost, promoting amelioration continually, satisfying both internal customer and exterior customer.【CONCLUSION】The requirements of quarantine and supervision import container can be satisfied through implementation of TQM. Some suggestions are also given by the author that how to improve the result of TQM implementation.
