Abstract:
In order to solve the economic loss to farmers caused by frost before or after pear blossom, the effects of 3 kinds of antifreezes treatments on the activities of POD and SOD, relative conductivity and MDA content of the ‘Whangkeumbae’ pear ovaries (fruitlets) under low temperature stress (temperature -2.9℃, time 0 h, 1 h, 2 h, 3 h, 4 h) were studied. The results showed that: relative conductivity and MDA content of the fruitlets treated with different antifreezes were lower than that in the control via 1-4 h low temperature treatment; and the activities of POD and SOD in all the treatments increased rapidly and higher than that in the control. The data suggested that the tested antifreezes in this research could decrease the membrane lipid peroxidation level under low temperature stress, and the ‘PBO’ and ‘Tianda 2116’ showed much more effective work.
